USA Today reports: The Knicks' Larry Hughes hasn't talked to Gilbert Arenas since before the gun incident. But Hughes believes that, with time, his former teammate can earn forgiveness from the public for his mistake. And maybe even play again for the Wizards.
"This is a special place," Hughes, who played for Washington from 2002-05 and for the Bulls from 2008-09, said of the nation's capital.
"When you play here and the city gets behind you and you realize what the fans want and the organization is behind you, I think he'll come to realize that. I could see it. When you get in trouble, you're mad at the authority. But I think it'll blow over. I could see him back here. I don't think they'll hold a grudge against him."
