The first game of the Tracy Webster era at DePaul began with the unmistakable sound of air leaving a shredded tire -- before any on-court action actually took place.

DePaul center Mac Koshwal, the team's leading rebounder and second-leading scorer, is out 2-4 weeks with an injury to his right foot, the school announced just before the Demons faced Providence on Thursday.

This after Koshwal already missed eight games earlier this season with an injury to his left foot. It is yet another broadside to the beleaguered DePaul program, which fired coach Jerry Wainwright on Monday, inserted Webster as interim coach and has lost 22 conference games in a row.

Koshwal was averaging 15 points and 11 rebounds a game this season.
