BOSTON -- Boston Celtics forward Glen "Big Baby" Davis is looking to erase his troubled past this season and hopes to start by first dropping his nickname.

Davis, who missed the start of the season after breaking his thumb in a fight with a childhood friend and having surgery, was recently fined $25,000 for directing inappropriate language at a fan during a game against Detroit last Wednesday.

He said he feels like he needs to grow up.
