One day, Derrick Rose may be able to look back on a career full of game-winning shots.
But in his short NBA tenure that appears destined for greatness, Rose has experienced more heartbreak than heroics in last-second situations.
That changed in dramatic fashion Friday night at the United Center when his spin move and right-handed shot over Randy Foye found the bottom of the net with 5.4 seconds left in double overtime to cap a wild 121-119 victory over the Wizards.
The Bulls have won four straight games for the second time this season, this time in improbable fashion.
"I make that shot a lot in practice," Rose said nonchalantly. "So I'm kind of used to it."
The shot capped Rose's career-high night, in which he scored 37 points and added nine rebounds and six assists. Joakim Noah added 17 points and 15 rebounds.
Antawn Jamison's 34 points and 18 rebounds led Washington.
