Bulls' health update: Noah will try to play

SAN ANTONIO --- In seemingly a game-by-game habit, Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro updated the health status of his team before the Spurs' game Monday night.

Joakim Noah is battling plantar fasciitis in his left foot, Taj Gibson is doing the same in his right foot, Derrick Rose is sick and Brad Miller has a sore knee.

"Jo is going to try, but he's still pretty sore so we'll monitor that," Del Negro said. "He'll warm up and see how he feels. Derrick didn't shootaround this morning and has cold, congestion and flu. He's not feeling great but I expect him to play. Taj's foot is sore but feels a bit better. And Brad is sore but as he would say, his game is not based on athleticism. I think he'll play and be effective in some form."

Noah also warmed up Saturday night in Houston before getting scratched late. With 45 minutes until tipoff, that is possible again.
