There weren't many Blackhawks in the dressing room after their 4-1 victory over the Wild on Tuesday night at the United Center.
Many of the players had quickly filed into the players' lounge to watch the end of the World Junior Championship gold medal game between the United States and Canada that went into overtime just about the time the Hawks closed out the Wild.
Yelling and screaming erupted from the room when John Carlson scored to give the U.S. a 6-5 upset victory and snap Canada's five-tournament winning streak.

"I haven't been able to watch too many games, but I just heard the boys screaming in there," Hawks defenseman Brian Campbell, a Strathroy, Ontario, native, said while standing by his locker. "I don't know what happened, but apparently the U.S. won. Hey, it's a great tournament and it's big for a lot of us who were involved in it."
Campbell was a member of Team Canada during the 1999 World Junior Championship.
Veteran John Madden, who is from Toronto, said there hadn't been too much talking back and forth between the Canadian players and the Hawks' only two U.S.-born players Patrick Kane and Dustin Byfuglien.
"I didn't hear much trash talking, but I bet you we will now," Madden said. "That's good for the U.S."
