DETROIT -- After giving up a two-goal lead for the second consecutive game, the Blackhawks again are out in front after Patrick Sharp scored to give them a 3-2 lead over the Red Wings after two periods Saturday at Joe Louis Arena.
Leading 2-1 entering the second, the Hawks found themselves tied at 2-2 after Henrik Zetterberg scored during the Wings' third consecutive power play.
Sharp, however, notched his 16th goal of the season to put the Hawks back in front. The winger redirected a fine pass from defenseman Duncan Keith past Detroit goaltender Jimmy Howard.
Dustin Byfuglien, who left the first period after a collision with teammate Brent Seabrook, returned to start the second.

Great game overall now I can see why NBC has changed the time for the game. GREAT PLAYS by both team AWESOME PLAYERS AND AWESOME GOALIES.
GO BLACKHAWKS.
True, end result is the same. I just wish they wouldn't have let the Wings get a point. Great game!
Yes, it was cheap but very effective. Hawks win nonetheless!!
It was a great cheap move by Bertuzzi. Spraying the goalie in the face from the crease should be considered interference. He can't do anything without it being cheap ;)
But I agree, way to go Hawks.
What a game. Great move by Bertuzzi in the shootout. Oh man. Great game all the way around. Go Hawks!!
