OKBlitz.com reports: Defensive tackle Dusty Dvoracek was arrested early Saturday in Norman after an altercation at a bar on Campus Corner. The altercation occurred at Seven47, and he was charged with public intoxication, assault and battery, and interfering with an official process.
The former Oklahoma Sooner was drafted by the Bears with the 73rd overall pick in 2006. He did not play this season after tearing his ACL during the preseason, and has now finished all four years of his NFL career on injured reserve. He is not under contract for the Bears in 2010.
"Our security was simply just doing their job and Dusty just kind of freaked out," Seven47 general manager Hunter Mankin said. "Our security would never provoke. I think Dusty's temper got out of hand."

What a piece of garbage. I thought he didn't drink anymore?? The funny thing is that this guy can't even play football. What a waste of another high draft pick (i.e. Dan Buzyne, Michael Okwo, Mark Bradley, Tank Johnson, Danniel Manning, Michael Haynes, Roosevelt Williams, Garrett Wolfe, etc.....).
WHEN ARE THESE CHILDREN FROM OKLAHOMA GOING TO GROW UP? IF THE FANS AND PEOPLE OF OK, WOULD QUIT IDOLIZING AND TREATING THEM AS SOMETHING MORE THAN THEY REALLY ARE THEN MAYBE THEY WOULD ACT AS ADULTS.DVORAK GOING BACK TO COLLEGE HAUNTS TO HAVE FUN, GROW UP!
DD was a reach at best, a fourth rounder. Colombo and benson were first round picks, so there was a possibility they had talent. The bears just didn;t know how to use it. This idiot dvoracek is a no talent drunk, who will end up broke and/or dead by the time he's 30. Good riddance to trash like him
for the person posting this on every site
The bouncers at Seven47 asked Dusty to leave and as he got up to leave one bouncer put him in a choke hold while another punched him in the ribs, which he has bruises to prove. As his freinds and wife step in to help an entire fight breaks out. Not once during this incident was a punch thrown by Dvoracek. He and his wife immediately left when the brawl started, only to be met outside by the police. In my sober, eye witness opinion, yes, Dvoracek had been drinking and it was probably time to call it a night, but the Seven47 bouncers targeted Dvoracek the minute he walked in the door. And at the end of the night, if you looked at the bouncers and Dvoracek and his friends, you would see that the black eyes, bloody lips, and bruises were NOT on the bouncers. And for little miss Alissa in Oklahoma, you obviously had been doing a little drinking yourself to be able to fabricate that story.
why don't you go ahead and sign your name...DVORACEK! I believe "Alissa in Oklahoma" account of what happened. Why else would Dusty's mug shot have him pictured in a jail issued shirt? Unless he always goes out looking like a thug... Once a meat head always a meat head
Too bad about Dusty...think it's going to rain today...pass the potatoes.
Yet another fine example of a snotty, coddled athlete. The way this Country places athletes and Hollywood on pedestals is shameful. He'll walk - pay a fine - do some dippy public service work - and fade out - blow his money - etc..etc...etc.,
Yet another of those draft picks from Angelo and Smith. When will the fans wise up and demand a better product from the McCaskeys? Next year, the fans have to send those clueless, greedy bastards the message we deserve better by not attending the games and buying their gear. Hit them where it hurts.............their pocket books. We cannot just call for Lovie's head because the inept half of the two-headed baboon is left......Angelo!
Woulda, coulda, if only. But it wasn't meant to be. Dusty will be haeding down that lonely road with just memories of what could have been. But, sorry to say, we still have Lovie baby and that other airhead- Angelo. Lots of luck for the future Bear fans.

Uh, Colombo IS playing for the Cowboys right now -- started last week's playoff game. ...
OK, so what was this washed-up, has-been Bear doing in a campustown bar anyway?
You won't find me anywhere close to Green Street in Urbana, that is for the kids! I had my time on campus and have my own places to hang out and party.
Dusty, what a disappointment.

Tony,
And when he ends up with the Bengals, he will become a starter and most likely an all-pro....same as with most other players the bears release.
The Bears just don't know what to do with drafted players. They can't coach, they can't teach, they can't develop and they can't win.
I live in norman and was at &$& with some friends. Dusty took his shirt off and proceeded to beat the sense out of some poor kid. there was blood everywhere. I think it is fair to say he has a few issues with his temper. When he was at OU, he go kicked off the team for a year for putting a good friend in ICU after a drunken brawl. See ya Dusty.
Bears will release Dusty and then Dusty will wind up with the Bengals...
Dusty tore his MCL on a punch when he tried to hit the bouncer.
In my last post I stated that Dusty played 4 seasons here...He actually was cut before his 4th season started.
I'm glad to see that he is capable of hitting someone...He never hit an opposing quarterback in the 4 years that he played here.
who's dusty dvoracek???
He was cut before the season started. He no longer has anything to do with the Bears.
isnt he already on IR for 2011?
he's not with the bears anymore! They released him after he got hurt for the 4th time. That's why he is NOWHERE on the bear's roster...not even injured reserve. further proof...he sold his house to a teammate

Not sign him? Think about it. Bears gave up on Cedric Benson for drunkeness and Marc Colombo with a bad knee. Now look what they are doing.

I'm sorry, but what exactly have either of these two guys done??! How many playoff wins have they had? How many visits to the Super bowl have they had? The Cowboys don't have Colombo right now, he has a broken leg or something. And Benson? Right now I think his is down on a boat somewhere in TX trying to get drunk...
Look, Benson has had ONE good year (mostly because a chip that is still on his shoulder) mark my words, he will be leaving Cincy in a whimper, just like here.. especially if Cincy even contemplates getting another RB as insurance (if he isn't already miffed that Larry Johnson is one the team)
So stop crowning players who have left the Bears champions until they actually do something...

Old Dusty has history of being a drunk. I believe he got into many issues in college because he couldn't stop bending his elbow.
Cut bait! He can't stay healthy and now he can't stay sober.
Oh no! A barfight for Dvoracek?
Given his propensity for injury, I guess we can assume he is done for next season.
