By K.C. JohnsonSAN ANTONIO--By beating the Spurs 98-93 Monday night at AT&T Center, the Bulls won their third straight on this death march of a road trip. And they did so with a foul-plagued Joakim Noah and also Taj Gibson battling plantar fasciitis, a very ill Derrick Rose and Brad Miller playing with a sore knee.
Noah put back Rose's drive with 36.3 seconds left, then made the second of two free throws with 13.4 seconds left after Luol Deng emphatically rejected Manu Ginobili's drive.
Rose then ably defended Ginobili's drive and Noah rebounded and got fouled with 5.2 seconds left, sealing matters with two free throws.
Del Negro and the Bulls are on quite the unexpected roll, moving to 3-2 on this season-high, seven-game swing that continues Wednesday in Oklahoma City.
Rose had 27 points and six assists, Kirk Hinrich added 18 and five and Noah scored the game's final five points.
