By Fred MitchellAndre Dawson remains on hold, hat in hand if you will, waiting for the Hall of Fame to decide whether he will wear a Cubs or Expos cap when he is inducted.
"I haven't heard anything," Dawson said today from Miami. "Normally the process doesn't take this long. We haven't spoken about it at all. We were supposed to get together when I was in New York (Jan. 6) to talk. I will probably see them sometime next week. I think a lot of people are aware now that the Hall of Fame makes the decision."
Dawson has received more congratulatory messages from Paul Molitor, Tom Seaver and Earl Weaver, as well as several former teammates.

As a Cubs fan I want to see him go in as a Cub, but as a Andre Dawson fan, I'm just glad he is a finally a Hall of Famer and ultimatley that's all that matters. But, if you want to read my reasons the Hall of Fame should choose the Cubs, visit:
