The White Sox have claimed right-hander Freddy Dolsi off waivers from Detroit and added him to the 40-man roster with the idea that he could win a bullpen spot in spring training.
Dolsi, 26, was 4-3 with a 3.83 ERA and 10 saves in 39 games with Class AAA Toledo last season. He also was 1-0 with a 1.69 ERA in six games with the Tigers. He has spent seven seasons in the Tigers' minor leagues.

Aw, this was a really quality post. In theory I'd like to write like this too - taking time and real effort to make a good article... but what can I say... I procrastinate alot and never seem to get something done.
i don't get it; D.J. Carrasco is a proven winner and the sox let him go to pick thru the left-overs in the hopes of finding a gem? makes no sense to me. my guess is that the sox will miss Carrasco, who will likely do well elsewhere.
Another great move by Kenny. Now they can move Linebrink to the National League where every pitcher is better. How about Linebrink, Gartrell and Moral for Adam Dunn?
