Seattle Post Intelligencer reports: Mariners GM Jack Zduriencik says newly acquired outfielder Milton Bradley is a "good teammate and nice guy" who just needs space at times and will fit well with the team's tight-knit clubhouse.
"Making this move gives us a guy we think can be a force in our lineup," Zduriencik said, noting Bradley has usually hit in the 3-4-5 type spot in the order and likely will do so with the Mariners while splitting time in left field and designated hitter.
Zduriencik said two of Seattle's current coaches have been on teams with Bradley in the past and all his internal discussions led him to believe things would work in Seattle.
"The people I talked to had nice things to say about Milton," Zduriencik said. "They thought he was a good teammate and a guy who cares. Sometimes players need space and you give them space.
"Every coach and player and front-office person has things about them that requires space. What we know is he's a good person, an intelligent guy with a strong desire to win and he wants to be here.
