The Kansas City Royals reportedly have some interest in free agent outfielder Scott Podsednik, according to reports in the Kansas City Star and FoxSports.com.

The White Sox are looking for a leadoff hitter but have gone nearly two months without reaching an agreement with Podsednik, who batted .304 with a .353 on-base percentage in five months with the Sox after being released by Colorado.

So many comments, with so little intellignece to support those comments?!?!?!??!? Pods Goes or Pods Stays?!?!?!? That is the question, and what is the answer, only time will tell.

I'd like to the Sox to sign Pods, and get Coco Crisp. Why they signed Andruwoeverated Jones is beyond me. That was a waste of $500k. This guy can't hit the broad side of a barn with a bazooka standing next to it. I'd much rather see Coco and Pods on this team.

Sign him already!

What's often overlooked about Pods season last year is that so many of his base hits were infield bleeders that in the end didn't do much in terms of run production. The other issue with Pods is that he's inexplicably a terrible base runner and often gets caught napping out there. I love the guys intensity, but if I'm Kenny I do everything that I can to sign Coco Crisp instead.

Pods definitely got on-base as he rejuvinated his career with the Sox. He was always a base-stealing threat, certainly. But keep in mind, because he had a very good year while getting picked-off numerous times, having a crappy arm, & not playing good defense, yet he wants a huge raise. Kenny's not going to give it to him. Fine by me.

I have no problem with Andruw Jones being a solid, back-up outfielder for the Sox. After all, he's still got some pop in his bat (17 HRs/44 RBIs last year - while only getting 282 At-Bats because he was injured), he's got a lot too prove while signing for just $500k, &, I'll feel comfortable knowing that he's only got *10* Gold Glove Awards sitting on his mantel at home.

I have a better chance of seeing a 3-legged ballerina dressed in pink leotards, dancing on a runway at O'Hare than seeing Pods earning a Gold Glove Award during his career.

I saw where K.C. wants to improve their outfield defense with this move. Do you think we should tell them? How about the 10 times that Scotty was picked off or thrown out by stupid base running? Scotty had a really good year with the bat, probably good enough to fool the dumbest of G.M.`s into overpaying. I would like to see K.C. get Pods and the Sox get David DeJesus in a trade.

It sounds like it could be a Podsednik for Crisp tradeoff.

We will miss out on a 300 hitter and an igniter at the top of the batting order, just because the Sox won't give Pods a 2 year contract. Don't we owe him something from last year too? I just cant' believe we are waiting for him to flinch. C'mon Kenny, make Pods an offer! One that he will take!
