SI.com reports: White Sox chairman Jerry Reinsdorf is lending his support to a bid by an ownership group led by former baseball "super agent" Dennis Gilbert to buy the Texas Rangers.
Gilbert, who in recent years has served as a White Sox consultant, is said to be the front-runner to purchase the Rangers with a bid worth more than $500 million, according to people familiar with the talks.
