Dime magazine reports: Word on the street is that the Bulls could be interested in acquiring Tracy McGrady, the disgruntled Houston Rockets star who wants to be traded.Speculation is that McGrady, who as a free agent in 2000 was wooed by former Bulls general manager Jerry Krause (and was greeted at O'Hare by the Luvabulls, Benny the Bull and a band playing "Sweet Home Chicago"), could be had for John Salmons and two other players with expiring contracts, Brad Miller and Jerome James.

Do it! I want this trade done. McGrady still has something left in the tank, plus the team will have more cap space for the off-season to probably get two big names from FA. And maybe there's a slight possibility that McGrady can sign with the team if he can prove that he can play at a high level again for less money and be able to sign somebody like Wade or Bosh or both.
Are you guys nuts? The contracts have to match within a certain percentage of each other, which means we need to give them close to 20 million dollars in contracts. Brad Miller, Jerome James and Tim Thomas would do it. Salmons doesn't have an expiring contract, he has a player option, and the way he's been shooting, he won't be getting more than that with another team. Salmons will take his money and sit on the Bulls bench, be an expiring contract in 2011
Do it! Do it! Do it! McGrady has worn out his welcome in Houston and all the Bulls have are tradeable expiring contracts. McGrady has become Houston's version of Larry Hughes. Houston wants to move him in the worst way. McGrady is a walking band-aide but, still, there is some talent there.
i wonder if they would take kirk hinrich instead of brad miller...
If this report is accurate the bulls need to make this trade in the next hour.Salmons and 2 expiring contracts? REALLY? Once again people Who cares if mcgrady is done THATS 23 MILLION COMING OFF THE BOOKS.The bulls would have more money for next summers FA class.
Right. For Salmons because Houston doesn't already have enough small forwards. Uh huh.
Wrong.
So he can sit on the bench with a sore knee, hip, finger, toe, back, shin, elbow, ear, shoulder, heel, chin, and any other body part not mentioned? I would seriously take a pass on this Jerry!
