Injuries leave Ravens thin at tight end

The Baltimore Sun reports: If tight ends Todd Heap, who injured his ankle in Sunday's win over the Lions, and L.J. Smith, who hasn't played in two weeks because of an ankle injury, can't play Sunday against the Bears, that would leave the Ravens with Edgar Jones and converted offensive lineman Chris Chester as the team's only tight ends.

Coach John Harbaugh acknowledged today that the uncertainty at the position is worrisome.

"It's a concern because it'll take you out of certain personnel packages," he said. "But we can put receivers on the field, and we can put linemen on the field.
