Bears wide receiver Devin Hester is expected to remain sidelined with a calf strain when the Bears return to practice Wednesday, according to a league source.
Hester suffered a mild left calf strain in the Bears' 17-9 win over the Rams. He sat out Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Packers after not practicing all last week.
Hester could be questionable for the next game at Baltimore, but the injury is not considered to be anything more than a strain.

Devin Aromashodu and Johnny Knox stepped up in Hester's absence,
combining for 13 catches for 159 with two touchdowns. Quarterback Jay
Cutler threw to the combo 19 times in 36 attempts.
Also, left tackle Orlando Pace is expected to return to full participation in practice after missing the Green Bay game with groin strain.
If Pace is fully healthy, the Bears might have a dilemma at left tackle. Chris Williams started the last two games there, but struggled against the Packers, picking up three of the Bears' season-high 13 penalties.

Once again an injury exposes the stupidity and stubbornness of the Bears' coaching staff. Even as Cutler repeatedly begged for Aromashodu, these geniuses refused to let him play, just as they had refused to let Bennett play while demanding that he learn every receiver position inside and out before "taking the risk" that he might damage their sophisticated and fragile passing attack by--gasp!--playing the game. It is sickening to imagine how this offense might have looked with Hester returning kicks and punts and Aromashodu offering Cutler a big, fast, physical target opposite Knox, with Bennett as a possession option in the slot. But good news! Pace will be back this week to pick up his share of penalties and sacks allowed.
Good. We actually have two receivers now that appear legit. Plus, I sure didn't miss his -5 yard punt returns or his idiotic fair catches at the 4 yard line. Devin Hester is a disaster, trade him for draft picks.
