Bears receiver Devin Hester has a mild calf strain, an injury that should not keep him from playing against the Green Bay Packers next Sunday at Soldier Field
Hester injured his left calf on a third-quarter run play today in the Bears' 17-9 victory over the Rams. He fumbled the ball, then recovered. Hester left with just over 13 minutes remaining in the quarter and did not return.
"When I hit the ground, my calf was feeling funny,'' Hester said. "We're going to test it out tomorrow. It's just real sore right now, really fresh. Tomorrow we'll see how it feels."

Hester will not need an MRI. He is likely to practice at some point this week.
Quarterback Jay Cutler banged up his throwing hand, but it's nothing serious. He implied that his dinged-up hand contributed to the Bears running the ball more often Sunday.
Running back Kahlil Bell bruised his ribs after taking a knee to his midsection. He could barely talk after the game, but Bell will not need an MRI. Starting running back Matt Forte sprained his hand but continued to play, so the injury appears to be minor.
Defensive end Adewale Ogunleye said he simply had the wind knocked out of him when he exited the game for a brief stretch.

Who cares whether he's injured or not? He makes about as much of an impact as Urlacher does on the sidelines. Maybe the calf strain is from returning punts from the East to the West side of the field, and cutting back and running West to the East side of the field...backwards.
we don't need him fielding punts on the 6, not fair catching punts on the 17, false starts, holding penalties, not getting two feet in, falling down all the time when running timing routes (and causing interceptions), etc., etc,. it's time to get rid of him and dump the contract. dante hall was like a joy stick, but he didn't get a $45 million contract by the chiefs. the Bears need to spend $$$ on the two lines and with a top grade CB
He needs to make sure it's not a blood clot and should have an ultrasound.
