After reading what he had to say this afternoon, Devin Hester wasn't too happy.
So the Bears wide receiver tried to throw a giant I-was-taken-out-of-context net over his comments regarding potential change within the organization, and his role in the offense.
Hester took to his official Twitter account and used five tweets in an effort to remove his foot from his mouth, or something like that.
"I feel like the media blew my interview out of proportion and that everything I said was reworded or taken the wrong way,'' Hester wrote.
"When I am asked, 'Will there be changes?' my answer is 'yes,'" he wrote. "What I mean is; there will always be new guys (rookies, trades or coaches).
"That goes for every team, whether you are picked up or traded, it is still a change to the team.
"After reading current articles I feel like the press tried to make me seem like I had inside information on the future of coaches or players.
"Which is not the case at all."
Hester talked about his frustration in the offense before practice, which he missed with a sore left calf muscle. He made just six catches in the last three games he played in.
"It's tough watching other teams, other offenses find ways for their guys to get their hands on the ball better (than we do),'' Hester told a group of reporters. "We've had some plays we had called during the week we weren't able to call during games because of certain situations.''
The thing is, every news outlet that covered Hester's interview took his words to mean the same thing -- he's frustrated and change will afoot soon at Halas Hall.
"There will be a lot of changes, I know that for a fact,'' Hester said. "[I] am not blind. Everybody sees it...Just from being around this league for a little while, when things are going bad, somebody you least expect is going to go.
"I don't know how it's going to turn out. At the end of the day, Jerry [Angelo] and Cliff [Stein] are the guys who make that decision.''

I really like my laptop. It comes up quickly and moves quickly through the programs I use. IT IS GREAT.
I was looking for a wireless laptop that would perform guickly and do what I wanted it to do.
I bought this case for my iphone3g 16g after reading reviews and comparing online.
It fits very well, has great form factor and was a great price. Plus it looks great. I would highly recommend this case for someone looking for a hard case for their iphone.
Other teams *are* better at getting the ball to their play makers. There really is no doubt to that.
Spineless he blongs working for Lovie
Oh, oh, I smell Brian Griese-Gate all over again.
I believe the Bears need to appoint a "Special Investigator" to get to the bottom of this. That's about all the front office and team management are good for these days.
Blah, Blah, Blah, this is nothing more than the usual that comes with every louzy team, no matter what the sport may be. When you deal with someone, who isn't afraid to speak their mind, and they happen to play for a sorry, losing team, what else is there to expect? To try to make this into some sort of big deal is bogus.
Listening to the Score this morning, the general thinking is that somebody either told him to type the "retraction" based on the context and verbiage used. I believe they mentioned that almost all of his tweets were from a mobile phone while these were sent via a lap top.
You were right the first time, Devin. It was a refreshing sign to see a member of this 2009 catastrophe actually speak out, instead of cloning the Lovie-speak drivel we are so accustomed to. Devin is right, fire the lot of them!
Hester is about as smart as the chair he is sitting on. When these guys open their mouths especially football players, one never knows what will come out. If they said the first time what they said the second time then they would never be mis-quoted. Hey hester once you start running the correct routes and catching the ball then you can start running your mouth. In the meantime shut the fu-- up!
It'a amazing how quickly people can shout "I was taken out of context!" No, you weren't so just man up and admit. While you're add it admit you're NOT a receiver too!
HEY DAN -- if YOU'RE going to make fun of writers, at least use YOU'RE (which stands for "you are") correctly. (Your is possessive.)
Oh.. and Devin said his words were twisted? What.. when I saw the video of him saying those exact words on CSN? They were twisted when he said them? Interesting. Wonder what he had for breakfast to make THAT happen.
I just hope they fire lovie cuz he is one of the big problems.... he coaches the the bears to play like pussy.... jerry A the gm he needs to leave to cuz he put this weak as team together...... we have no wide outs and we made a corner into a wide out "we is tripping" ....... I just can't believe these fucks still have lovie coaching for us.... please fire jerry to....... ps need to fire the bulls coach asap
Somehow I doubt anybody re-worded anything Hester said.
Hes right Biggs, look at your newspapers headline. You guys in the media here, try to make a story about everything. I take it as Hester being frustrated, period. You guys have a way of twishing everything. Don't sit here and decide to post this thing and then defend your paper by calling Hester a liar. You guys are pathetic. Your a beat reporter, which is a joke in itself.
