While Devin Hester was sitting out the Bears' 21-14 loss Sunday to the Packers due to injury, Philadelphia's DeSean Jackson was catching up to him in the record book.
The Eagles wide receiver tied an NFL record shared by Hester for touchdowns of 50 yards or more in a season when he scored his seventh and eighth of the year in a 45-38 victory over the Giants on Sunday night.
Jackson scored on a 72-yard punt return in the second quarter and caught a 60-yard touchdown pass in the third to tie the mark shared by Hester and Elroy Hirsch.
Jackson missed last week with a concussion, but was in sensational
form, and his eight touchdowns of 50-plus yards this year tied the NFL
mark set by Hirsch in 1951 and equaled by Hester in 2007.
Hester's eight-touchdown season featured two pass receptions (longest: 81), two kickoff returns (longest: 97) and four punts (longest: 89) for touchdowns of 50 yards or more.

And that's what he did at Giants Stadium in Philly's fourth straight win over New York, including a division playoff matchup last January.
"He hasn't really displayed everything," McNabb said. "The positive thing for all of us being a part of it is that you are just seeing glimpses. The sky is the limit for him."

Are the Eagles fans going to start talking about Jackson being placed in the Hall of Fame like the stupid Bears fans did after Hester's big season?
In Lovieland, Jackson would be converted to a cornerback to see if he can master that position as well. He is simply lucky that he is in a system (ie Philadelphia's) where players don't get the high level of coaching and player development they receive in Chicago.
Devin hester SUCKS at reciever he's one dimensional he's just a KR/PR and he was'nt even doing that before the bears failed reciever expeirement.Jackson is a legit threat running,receiving,KR/PR Total package he's still real immature but he's way better than hester will ever be.
