Devin Hester didn't have much to say today about his strained left calf, an injury that has kept him out of practice the last two days. It is unclear whether he'll practice Friday.
"See how I feel tomorrow and go from there," Hester said.
Lovie Smith said he figured Hester would practice today, but the receiver obviously had a setback after sitting out Wednesday. Hester's status for Sunday's game against the Packers seems questionable.

``Whenever guys don't practice on a Thursday, there's a concern,''
Smith said, referring to both Hester and left tackle Orlando Pace, who
was limited while recovering from a groin strain.
Hester had a noticeable limp during the media viewing period of practice. If he can't go, Devin Aromashodu will get more reps alongside Earl Bennett and Johnny Knox. Bennett is first up at punt returns in place of Hester, with Knox getting some touches there, too.
Smith was asked if the receivers have the confidence to go up against Green Bay's veteran secondary without Hester.
``We have confidence in them,'' Smith said. ``Of course, they finished out the game last week. Devin Aromashodu has really stepped up. Guys are very comfortable with him. You know what Earl Bennett can do. You know what a guy like Johnny Knox can do, also. Rashied Davis. We rely on our tight ends, too. And of course, (Matt) Forte.
``We still have a lot of options. Of course we would like to play with Devin. Hopefully we will.''
