The Blackhawks have signed defenseman Shawn Lalonde, their second choice (68th overall) in the 2008 NHL entry draft, to a three-year deal.
Lalonde, 19, is in his fourth season with the Belleville Bulls of the Ontario Hockey League. He is tied for second on the team with 26 points (eight goals, 18 assists) in 27 games.
