DALLAS -- Blackhawks forwards Marian Hossa and Tomas Kopecky have been selected to play for Slovakia during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.

The duo was named Tuesday to the 23-man roster that will play in Vancouver in February.

Team Canada will announce its roster Wednesday at 11 a.m., with Jonathan Toews, Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook and Patrick Sharp among candidates who play for the Hawks.

The United States names its team during Friday's Winter Classic. Patrick Kane is expected to make the squad with Dustin Byfuglien also a possibility.

Agreed with Shimko!

It's great to see some Blackhawks on the Slovak team!

A little note: It's Slovak Olympic Team, not Slovakian. Slovaks don't use "Slovakian" as an adjective or otherwise.
