The Bears officially placed linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa on injured reserve today to make room for newly signed linebacker Cato June.
With Lance Briggs dealing with a sprained left knee and hip pointer, the veteran June adds depth at linebacker. Briggs will not practice today.
The Bears also signed linebacker Kevin Malast to the practice squad after they terminated the practice-squad contract of defensive lineman Joe Clermond on Tuesday. The Bears need as many bodies at linebacker at possible, considering the injuries suffered at the position. Starters Brian Urlacher and Tinoisamoa both suffered season-ending injuries.
Malast, an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers, spent the preseason with the Bears.
