Bears linebacker Lance Briggs, who missed the team's 17-9 win over the Rams with a knee sprain and hip pointer, is scheduled to return to practice Wednesday, according to a league source.
While Briggs is expected to have full participation in practice, receiver Devin Hester is expected to sit out with a left calf strain. The injury knocked Hester out of the Rams game, but he is expected to return to practice Thursday.
Left tackle Orlando Pace also is expected to return to practice after being sidelined all last week with a groin strain. Pace's return leaves the Bears with a dilemma at left tackle, as Chris Williams had a decent performance in place of Pace. Williams is considered the left tackle of the future, so the Bears might want to keep him there.
Quarterback Jay Cutler (hand) and running back Matt Forte (hand) and Kahlil Bell (ribs) are expected to practice. Linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer (groin) is likely to take Wednesday off.
