By Vaughn McClureBears linebacker Lance Briggs, who today called his status questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams, is expected to miss the game because of a sprained left knee and hip pointer, according to a league source.
"It's not looking good," Bears coach Lovie Smith conceded when addressing Briggs' status.
Briggs suffered the injury in last Sunday's 36-10 loss to the Vikings. He already missed two days of practice this week
Jamar Williams is expected to replace Briggs as the starter at weak-side linebacker. The Bears this week signed linebacker Cato June to provide depth.

Briggs last missed a game in December of 2007, when he was sidelined for a game against Green Bay because of a hip pointer.
Tackle Orlando Pace (groin) and tight end Desmond Clark (neck) also are expected to miss the game.
