PHILADELPHIA -- Alex Rodriguez's double and a two-run single by Jorge Posada were the deciding blows as the Yankees pounded Phillies closer Brad Lidge for three runs in the ninth inning on Sunday night, winning Game 4 of the World Series 7-4.

Philadelphia had tied the score 4-4 with an eighth-inning homer by Pedro Feliz off Joba Chamberlain but the Yankees struck back against Lidge. The Phillies couldn't answer back, with Mariano Rivera earning a save.

New York leads the Series three games to one. The Yankees' A.J. Burnett faces Cliff Lee in Game 5 on Monday night.

Does anyone know why A-Rod is still allowed to play MLB? He admitted to tipping off opposing hitters as to what pitches were coming, while he was with Texas. Pete Rose got banned for life for doing less!
