The South Bend Tribune reports: A Notre Dame source confirmed today that no action will be taken regarding the job status of football coach Charlie Weis before Monday.
Although Weis was not in his office today, sources told the South Bend Tribune that published reports that he cleaned out his office before the team left for Stanford are untrue.
Meanwhile, Sports Illustrated's Peter King reported on NBC that Weis could be returning to the NFL as an offensive coordinator and that the Patriots, Chiefs and Panthers were the favorites to land his services, with the Colts as an outside shot.
