Ravens linebacker-defensive end Terrell Suggs was injured on Baltimore's second interception of the game, when Quinn delivered a low block on Suggs on the interception return. Quinn was penalized for a low blow, and Lewis is still fuming.
"Heck yeah, it was a cheap shot," Lewis said. "When you're running down and you're looking at the quarterback going at somebody's knees who doesn't even have the ball. I want to see if he gets the same fine I got or even higher. Now this man is out four or five weeks because of some baloney like that."
Quinn said he didn't hit Suggs intentionally.
"I was trying to go for the ball carrier," he said. "Suggs came across at the last second in my vision. I would never wish that upon anyone. I was upset about it on the field. We worked out in Arizona together. I couldn't be any more sorry about that."

Cool, there is actually some good facts on this blog some of my subscribers just might find this worthwhile, I must send a link, many thanks.
Ask Ray Ray if Jacinth Baker and Richard Lollar who died from stab wounds in which he was involved (or actually did) were subjects of a cheap shot.
Go hang with Vick at the dog pound.
For all of you who say that Ray Lewis delivers cheap shots, stop the BS. He's never hit someone in a career threatening way, even Ochocinco said he shouldn't have been fined for the hit. Ray plays his game, and the NFL fines defensive players for not showing enough restraint in their eyes, and that's fine. Going for the legs is a different story, and is illegal for a good reason. It's a dangerous way to tackle, and very likely to cause injury. To me, it seems more dangerous than Ray's hit on Ochocinco and a tripping penalty in the first Bengals game; he was fined $25,000 for these 2 plays. Quinn made a stupid move, and I'm sure he feels badly about it. The Ravens couldn't lose Suggs at a worse time.
So many ignorant fools posting here. Ray is absolutely correct. Plain and simple, it was a cheap shot and Quinn should be fined heavily.
Ray was never accused of murder. He tried to break up a fight outside a club which ended up being fatal. The trial was so he could testify against defendants. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT PEOPLE! Ray gives tons of time and charity to underpriveledged kids, in Baltimore, is a terrific role model and will go down as the greates defensive player in the history of the NFL.
Right on, Ray!
Brady Quinn is in a large amount of trouble, you can't throw a dirty play like that against the baddest mfin group of football players in the league (and im not near being a ravens fan). All of you niave ass bad fans commenting on his past when dna forensics proved him to be innocent are full of shit and if you ever ran into ray lewis you would probally drop to your knees and try to squeez an autograph out of him. GO HAWKS!!
Incredible. #1, Ray you whiney scumbag, like you've never been the deliverer of a cheap shot. Every time you play you do. #2, blame Brady's performance on the poor management/handling of the Brown's organization. Anyone happen to notice how many passes were dropped that were catchable??? He isn't Joe Montana, but he's had no time to develop either. #3, Just because a "court of law" finds one innocent is NOT indicative of the accused's guilt. Ray did it, he knows he did it. #4, Suggs, sorry man, s**t does happen & I hope you get better soon.
A quarterback doing a cheap shot? I'm just glad to see a QB hit somebody or take a hit.
Ray "thug wit' my posse" Lewis, grow a pair, or maybe you'd like to try out for the Lingerie Football League?
Look up some film on Conrad Dobler, now THAT was football!
You tell em Ray Ray!
Brady Quinn is a horrible, horrible quarterback.
Who cares what dumb ass Ray Lewis has to say? Ray Lewis is a criminal. PERIOD
Ray is right, there is a disturbing trend as to who gets fines and who do not. QUinn can afford levy the fine!!!
As previously mentioned, QB's don't know how to tackle and in a quick thinking situation are likely to make the tackle that is less likely to hurt them.
I love all this bashing. Thing is, it was a cheap shot cut and dry. The better thing to watch is how Ray Ray is gonna tee off on Quinn next time they play. That QB is so bad I hope not only for Sugg's revenge but for the Brown's future, he gets knocked out of the game if not his pro stint.
Its F*^king football....which has had rules changed so players could play longer without injury risk, it used to be leather helments and no pads I don't think Ray Lewis would have lasted a week back then. Also he wouldn't have liked that small paycheck back then either, now they play with all the protection and rules in the world and get paid millions times over than our soldiers who are taking bullets and risk DEATH everyday? Come on play football and shut the hell up.
the King of cheap shots shouldn't be talking.
if Suggs would have seen Quinn first, it would have gone the other way around.
OJ is innocent too.
LOL you people talk about accused murderer, just another way for you to get away from the subject, the fact is that suggs was blocked in a very cheap way, by a QB who has nothing left. We are not talking about Ray lewis' career, we are talking about suggs career. Quinn is weak and so is the browns as a whole, but is that reason enough to throw cheap blocks? He wont be fined, because he is a QB, and just like Tom Brady, is a pussy.
Ha, the old joke was that the murder rate in Tampa went down while the Ravens were on the field playing in the Super Bowl. The cheap shot artist formerly known as Ray is bitching about a quaterback cutting someone? Maybe he is worried that the quarterbacks in the NFL are conspiring to take "him" out.
Ray Lewis would be Bubba.
Who'd have thunk it? Brady Quinn struggling vs. a non-military academy team. What a shocker.
Let's be thankful the Bears stayed away from this Rick Mirer clone.
It's hilarious to hear someone like Ray Lewis, a cheap shot artist in real life and on the field, crying like a little girl about a sissy quarterback hurting one of his big boys. Excuse me while I wipe the snot off my face from laughing so hard.

After watching 1/2 of MNF last night I was wandering, who is more inept, Brady Quinn, The Cleveland Browns or the Network Official that decided to give teh Browns air time?
I figured they showed a Cleveland game so the Redskin's fan would feel better.
Most of the blame for Quin's poor stats goes to Mangini and the brown's "offensive" coordinator who didn't call a single pass that was deeper than 5 yards. I don't think that the Clevald coaching staff and front office want to win or to score points.
OMG please all of you need to learn how to spell!!!
HAHA good job Brady you've mangaed to piss off one of the scariest mfers in professional football- better work on scrambling.
Ray Lewis should be doing life for murder and being Bubbas butt boy
We're not talking about a murder case which he was found innocent in a court of law. We are talking about a cheap shot that could potentially end a persons career. I do wonder how the leauge will handle this consider if your accidentally pushed into a quaters back knees then your fined plus a penalty.
After watching 1/2 of MNF last night I was wandering, who is more inept, Brady Quinn, The Cleveland Browns or the Network Official that decided to give teh Browns air time? All around the worst football game I can remember seeing on MNF. Ray Lewis is right. Whiel I wouldn't choose the words cheap shot, nonetheless an illegal block is what it is. A substantial fine and or suspension is in order. I doubt the Browns would miss Quinn if suspended they can always sign Cleveland High School Quaterback Ryan Radcliff from Sherwood, Ohio. He looks much better than Quinn's sorry performance.
Well he obviously isnt a murderer cause he is still playing in the NFL... And yes Quinn should be fined. Its ok for quarterbacks to give low blows but no one else
Last I checked, being accused of something is not the same as doing it.
Be sure you don't bring a knife to a gunfight.
Ray... Ray, Ray, Ray. You know, I understand how you could be upset about a shot at someone's knees because that can affect their ability to play. However, regardless of anyone's feelings toward Ochocinco, that missile to his head that you delivered could have ended his ability to walk...or live. You know, people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw their helmets at people's heads. Or something like that.
Agreed with "none" - the accused murderer is the last one who needs to comment on anything...he should be getting ready for the eternity in Hell that awaits him.
The same thing happened with Favre when he made the block earlier this year. I don't think these quarterbacks are doing it intentionally. They don't practice tackling and blocking and when they have to do it they are basically ducking out of the way of some of these massive brutes they are about to have a collision with.
Uh were talking about a quarter back if anybody is a potential thug that would be Ray Lewis / possible murderer. Quarterbacks dont even really for the most part know how to tackle people. Lewis is a whiney puke as usual its football Ray suck it up.
That's rich, Ray Lewis bitchin' about a cheap shot?
lololol, pot meet kettle.
Who cares what a former accused murderer thinks. All the sudden he has honor and morals...pleaaaassseee...
