Pre-tip from Saint Louis-Notre Dame

By Teddy Greenstein

Greetings from the UIC Pavilion, where Saint Louis-Notre Dame is the appetizer and Iowa State-Northwestern is the entree of the Chicago Invitational Challenge.

The Wildcats stymied the Irish last night, limiting a team that had been scoring 86.8 points per game to 58. Notre Dame shot 3-for-20 from the 3-point line in the second half. Ugh.

Notre Dame and Saint Louis last met in the second round of the 2004 NIT. The Irish won that one, 77-66.

Can you name where that game was played? Fort Wayne, Ind.

Check back for pre-tip notes on NU's game.
