Northwestern's student body can now brag about something other than their GPA and the school's five-time NCAA champion lacrosse squad. They've been recognized for being really, really nice to opposing football fans.
In a Sports Illustrated poll of 33,144 college football fans, Northwestern fans were voted -- in a landslide with 33.2 percent of the vote -- the Big Ten's most polite.
Hear that Ohio State? Buckeyes fans were found to be the rudest.
So raise that big purple foam finger, Wildcat fans, but please be careful not to poke the person next to you.
