NU-Illinois at the quarter: Does anybody want to win this game?

By Teddy Greenstein

CHAMPAIGN -- Northwestern doesn't want to take the lead at Illinois, where the game is knotted at 0-0. The Wildcats apparently realize that they've come from behind in all three of their Big Ten victories.

Stefan Demos has missed two field goals, from 47 and 50 yards. He entered the game 14-for-16.

Illinois hasn't done much better, though the Illini are driving at the first-quarter break. Mikel LeShoure just ran for 11 yards after his offensive line created a hole wide enough for two Range Rovers.

Illinois' Matt Eller missed a 23-yard field goal, earning groans from the home crowd.
