It's a game that basically could define Notre Dame's season -- or at least the next one that could do that -- and the TV people apparently know it.
The Irish's Nov. 14 visit to Pittsburgh will be a prime-time broadcast on ABC, kicking off at 7pm CT.
Barring a major upset on either side this weekend, it should be a matchup of two top 20 teams. And it absolutely is a game Notre Dame must win to keep Bowl Championship Series hopes alive. Pittsburgh is 7-1 heading into a home game against Syracuse this weekend, ranked No. 14 in the latest Associated Press poll.
The ABC broadcast is a "split" national game, with the other game in the window being Texas Tech at Oklahoma State.

Timmah/Davie thanks once again for keeping Notre Dame relevant. Also please make informed posts. Did you know ND's BCS contract got re-negotiated post 2006 so its more inline with conference per team payouts...oh no ya didn't you're just a hater...hate on. You two Bitter much over a contract you know nothing about?
Aren't you aware this is the Notre Dame Breaking News site. I stopped in here Saturday night and just about every story was an update about Notre Dame and Washington St.
Didn't a boatload of Big 10 teams play Saturday? Oh wait, Notre Dame isn't even in the Big 10. They claimed they were too Big for the Big 10.
Notre Dame's bowl agreement is the biggest sham in college football. Play a few tough games, get beat in each of them, yet can still go to a BCS game? If they were in a league, they wouldn't be considered at all.
Pitt is 7-1, not 7-2 as this article indicates...
