Mike Kafka is back under center for Northwestern. Dan Persa injured his hand, possibly while getting drilled on a pass rush by Pat Angerer, and is doubtful to return.

Kafka has limited mobility but has thrown decently. He has completed 6-of-11 attempts.

Third-string quarterback Evan Watkins, a true freshman, has warmed up on the sidelines.

After a scoreless third quarter, the Wildcats still lead 14-10.

Keep in mind, NU fans: Iowa has trailed in 8 of its 9 games and outscored its opponents 100-38 in the fourth quarter this season.
