Joliet Catholic takes 14-0 lead in 5A title game

CHAMPAIGN -- Joliet Catholic's second interception, this one by Breion Tucker, set the Hilltoppers up for their second score of the first quarter in the Class 5A state title game against Montini.

Malin Jones scored from 8 yards with 1:13 to go to give JC a 14-0 lead.

Jordan Lyles scored on an 18-yard run with 6:56 left in the first quarter for a 7-0 lead. Garrett Earl intercepted Brandon Pechloff for the second time to give the Hilltoppers the ball.
