CHAMPAIGN -- Illinois is set to tip off its first non-conference game against SIU-Edwardsville tonight at 7 p.m.

After hemming and hawing all week over his starting lineup, Illini coach Bruce Weber finally settled on Mike Davis, Mike Tisdale, D.J. Richardson, Brandon Paul and Demetri McCamey.

Junior Jeff Jordan will sit this one out because of his participation in a non-sanctioned basketball tournament when he had left the team over the summer. Joseph Bertrand, who didn't practice all week, also is out with a knee injury. Richardson will play despite injuring his right elbow in practice Thursday. He is wearing a sleeve on his arm.
