Despite using crutches and wearing a boot on his left sprained ankle, Illinois quarterback Juice Williams hopped off the field with a smile after the 35-32 victory at Minnesota.

Coach Ron Zook said he did not know the extent of the injury after the game.

Williams completed all five of his passes before limping off the field near the end of the first quarter after suffering his ankle sprain on a play when he fumbled the ball.

Redshirt freshman Jacob Charest filled in for Williams and completed 10 of 19 passes for 185 yards and a touchdown.
