CHAMPAIGN - Illinois and Northern Illinois are all set to tip off here at Assembly Hall for their first-ever meeting. Northern Illinois, however, will be without one of their best players in Xavier Silas. Silas has a fractured hand and will miss at least two weeks.
In the starting lineup for the Illini tonight are Demetri McCamey, D.J. Richardson, Brandon Paul, Mike Davis and Mike Tisdale - the same five that started Illinois' opener against SIU-Edwardsville.
At Assembly Hall tonight is Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delaney.
