CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - There must not have been much else on TV if you stay tuned for the entirety of Illinois 94-48 victory over Presbyterian tonight.
Illinois outscored the Blue Hose 32-4 over the first 12 minutes of the second half to make it an early night at Assembly Hall.
"We settled down, played good solid defense," Illinois coach Bruce Weber said. "We probably wore them down more than anything."
Freshman D.J. Richardson led the Illini with 15 points while recovering from an injured right elbow.
"It's going pretty well thanks to (trainer) Al Martindale," Richardson said. "He helped me out a lot with treatment. Thanks to him I'm just getting more comfortable and more confidence in elbow."
In his first game back from serving a two-game suspension, Jeff Jordan scored four points and had two assists.
