NORMAL, Ill. -- Early butterflies didn't derail Freeburg's run to its second consecutive state title match today.
The defending Class 2A champ Midgets (37-2) earned a spot in Saturday's title match with a 25-17, 25-20 sweep of Carlinville (35-4) at Redbird Arena.
Freeburg will meet either Harvard or Chicago Christian at 12:45 p.m.

The defending Class 2A champ Midgets (37-2) earned a spot in Saturday's title match with a 25-17, 25-20 sweep of Carlinville (35-4) at Redbird Arena.
Freeburg will meet either Harvard or Chicago Christian at 12:45 p.m.
"We were a little tense coming in, first time out on that court,"
Freeburg coach Lesa Bolt said. "I knew emotions were going to run high,
but once we got settled in we were fine."
Freeburg didn't trail in either game. The Midgets' late 9-2 Game 1 run turned a 15-14 lead into a 24-16 advantage. In Game 2, Freeburg opened with eight straight points.
Senior outside Colleen Yarber led a balanced attack with eight kills. Senior outside Sam Kassing and senior middle Kayleigh Cox added seven and six kills.
Elizabeth Kelly, a senior middle who came in with 386 kills, had seven for the Cavaliers, who will play for third at 11:45 a.m. Saturday.
