The San Francisco Chronicle reports: Two former Notre Dame players will line up for Stanford on Saturday and face their old team ... tight end Konrad Reuland and kicker Nate Whitaker.

Both were recruited to Notre Dame by coach Charlie Weis and his staff out of Southern California, but transferred to Stanford in 2008 for a variety of reasons.

"They were really turning things around," Reuland said. "I just thought it would be a great opportunity for me. Notre Dame is a great school too. There were no hard feelings in terms of not liking it there. Here everything's going great. I love playing for coach Harbaugh, and the academics are awesome."

That is some inspirational stuff. Never knew that opinions could be this varied. Thanks for all the enthusiasm to offer such helpful information here.
