First quarter Bears-Browns impressions

By Dan Pompei

Here are some first quarter thoughts from Soldier Field:

-- It hasn't exactly looked like football at its highest form out here. The Browns are putrid offensively, and the Bears have been only slightly better.

-- The Bears offensive line still looks shaky, even after replacing Frank Omiyale with Josh Beekman.

-- Great interception by Danieal Manning. Where has that been all year?

-- I've got no problem with Nathan Vasher taking a few snaps at free safety like he did in the first quarter.  He isn't getting any snaps as a corner. And the Bears could use his playmaking ability.

-- I think the Bears' run game has some potential today. The numbers could be good by the fourth quarter.
