If the report is true about the Bears' exploring options for a coaching and GM change -- and the Bears have denied it -- they're already behind the Buffalo Bills in the pursuit of Mike Shanahan.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported today that the Bills on Monday and Tuesday met for seven hours with Shanahan, who played football at East Leyden High School and Eastern Illinois, about their head coaching vacancy.
The report by Pro Football Weekly's Hub Arkush specifically names Shanahan, who drafted and coached Jay Cutler in Denver.
