The Blackhawks returned to work after a day off as they practiced at the United Center on Sunday afternoon.

Injured center Jonathan Toews did not practice as he recovers from a concussion sustained during an Oct. 21 game against the Vancouver Canucks. The captain has missed four consecutive games.

Winger Ben Eager, who has missed 11 consecutive games with a concussion, returned to practice. Also practicing was Marian Hossa, who is recovering from off-season shoulder surgery. Hossa is participating in all drills and is skating as a center on a line with wingers Andew Ladd and Kris Versteeg. Eager joined fellow winger Tomas Kopecky and center Colin Fraser.

The other lines were Dustin Byfuglien and Patrick Kane as wingers for center John Madden and Patrick Sharp and Troy Brouwer flanking Andrew Ebbett.
