LAS VEGAS -- For a consolation game, emotions sure are running high at Orleans Arena.

In a back and forth first half, the Illini shook off four turnovers in their first four possessions to hold a 29-28 halftime lead over Bradley.

Junior forward Mike Tisdale has three fouls.

Illinois held a 23-17 lead before Bradley came back to take a 28-25 lead, but free throws from Alex Legion and a last-second basket from Mike Davis, on a nice pass from Brandon Paul, allowed the Illini to take the lead into the locker room.
