Granted, NU's poor performance came against an experienced Butler team ranked 11th in the nation.
Still it wasn't even a contest. A 12-0 Butler run early in the second half ended any drama and saddled the Wildcats with a 67-54 defeat. Michael "Juice" Thompson led NU with 16 points.
Shelvin Mack had 15 points for Butler and Gordon Hayward added 14 points and 10 rebounds.
