For the second straight home game, the Bulls came out flat and trail Charlotte 28-26 after one quarter.

The drought didn't last as long as it did against the Bucks on Tuesday, but the Bulls committed two turnovers and badly missed two shots before Vinny Del Negro burned his first timeout with Charlotte leading 6-0 and 9 minutes, 50 seconds left in the quarter.

The Bulls rallied mostly behind John Salmons, who missed matching his season-high of 17 points by just three points already. Salmons' 14 points came on 4-for-5 shooting from the field and 5-for-5 shooting from the line.

Boris Diaw's 12 points leads Charlotte, who already has two big men---Tyson Chandler and Nazr Mohammed in foul trouble with two apiece.
