For just the second time since the Bulls' dynasty ended, the Bulls will take a winning record onto their annual extended November trip to make way for the circus at the United Center.
The Bulls are 5-4, one game over .500 just like in 2005-06 when they embarked for the west coast with a 3-2 mark. The 2006-07 Bulls and last season's team both took .500 records onto the so-called "circus trip."
The Bulls play six games on this season's trip and though, like usual, it's a long one, it's unique in this regard:
"We don't have any back-to-backs, which is a first for me on a long trip," coach Vinny Del Negro said. "So we do have some rest and practice time in between games."
The trip begins in Sacramento, which, on paper, would've appeared to be a cakewalk during the preseason. But the Kings have won four straight and five of six and will have not played since Friday.
Former Bull Andres Nocioni is playing well for the Kings.

Maybe they could play Sunday double-headers?
Actually, I have to agree with you there Nada. they also need to pay attention to how the back-to-backs are structured. 2nd game should always be at home. The last one for the Bulls they went home-to-road, plus a one hour time change forward, plus a 30 minute earlier start time.
The league needs to do something to limit back-to-backs.
