PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Bulls have struggled in this young season trying to match other teams' physicality. Tonight's game presents another tough test in the Trail Blazers, who smother teams defensively with a big front line.
And that front court got even bigger when Blazers coach Nate McMillan recently ditched a three-guard lineup that featured Brandon Roy at small forward, moving Roy back to shooting guard and starting 6-foot-7-inch Martell Webster. Andre Miller now comes off the bench.
"That move gets Roy back at his natural position," coach Vinny Del Negro said. "They have a lot of size and depth. Their defensive field-goal percentage is outstanding because they have talented big guys in the lane with (LaMarcus) Aldridge and (Greg) Oden and (Joel) Pryzbilla. Teams have to settle for a lot of jumpers. We have to be smart and try to get to the rim when we can."
