SALT LAKE CITY -- The Bulls got a firsthand look at what could have been Thursday night.
Utah's Carlos Boozer picked apart Chicago's defense as the Jazz took a 105-86 win over the Bulls. Boozer had 28 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three blocks to lead the Jazz. It started almost right away. Boozer had an assist on the Jazz's first bucket of the game, a nifty pass to a wide-open Ronnie Brewer which led to an easy dunk.
Boozer made pretty much everything look easy as he scored 24 points by the midway point of the third quarter.
Luol Deng had 26 points and Derrick Rose had 19 to lead the Bulls.
Too bad for Chicago that rumored trade for Boozer didn't work out.

Who cares about the rumored trade? We have him now.
Dipen, the Bulls are pretty good...and no better than that. If they make the playoffs, so what? They're not a title contender. They need two big stars in a star-driven league. They need better bigs, too. I have no idea if Bulls' management will make the necessary moves. It won't be easy. If they think and act like Pax did, it won't happen. You cite a couple of good examples and ignore all the mistakes, to convince yourself that we have geniuses at work. You're what I call a hopey homer.
The Bulls were out scored by 20 points in the paint! When is Noah going to get some muscle. Why wasn't Miller used more, Noah is not capable of staying on the floor so long against strong forwards and centers. Vinnjie must be sleeping with his eyes open.
Why is No-Shot Noah putting up 9 shots, he was 3-9 and the Jazz bigs scored at will! In his third year, Noah may be finally in shape but he is still a weakling, Boozer killed the him!
Chicago will be totally glad when February comes around because Chris Bosh's and Carlos Boozer's respective teams won't even be in postseason contention by then, oh yes Utah and Toronto of course. And we Bulls fans know both those guys are going to want to be on a postseason contender like Chicago because Chicago will be in the postseason no matter what.Chicago is so much better off for years and years in the future for not bringing back BIG BEN GORDON and this move also reminds me of Chicago giving up eddy curry to the knicks along with quite a few other recent moves by the Bulls front office in an attempt to return to that good old 90's glory and Bulls will rise again/return to glory soon in the near future.GO BULLS.
Boozer is a huge risk health wise. I think the Bulls will probably be glad come February and March.
